The beautiful stone path through the dunes down to the beach in Chiarone, just minutes down the road from Capalbio. There are two establishments here, two of our favorites, La Dogana and Ultima Spiaggia. There’s lots of parking in the fields behind the dunes, and this short walk through the dunes and pines to the beach.

Dogana and Spiaggia both have lovely cafes and restaurants, paid and free beaches, showers and toilets, and sunbed and umbrella hire. It’s a popular place, especially in midsummer weekends when everyone comes up from Rome, but weekdays and right now the beach is yours, so book a last minute week in June now!
