There’s a range of sporting activities to enjoy in the region, including boat hire on Argentario, kitesurfing lessons on the beach at Chiarone, and bike rental at the entrance to the Feniglia nature reserve. There’s miles on MTB and hiking trails in the Maremma National Park, and also a great little acquapark for the kids down the highway at Acquafelix near Civitavecchia.

There’s also horseback riding at a number of places centered around the highway north of Orbetello, including Il Barbazzale just beyond Albinia. They organise fantastic treks through the hills inland, around the lagoon, through the WWF oasis, across the national park, and along the beaches.
