The Vulci were the wealthiest and most influencial of the twelve tribes of Etruscan civilization for hundreds of years BC. They traded extensively with the Sardinians, ruled a large part of the Maremma, and co-founded ancient Rome. The archeological digs here feature numerous tombs, residences, arches, and temples.
