The beautiful Cala del Gesso beach on the western coast of the Argentario peninsular is one of many rocky little beaches with the clearest blue water along the spectacular coastline. These wonderful little places are accessible from walking paths down from the Strada Panoramica which winds its way around the western and southern coastline from Porto Santo Stefano to Porto Ercole.

The coastline is rocky and steep dotted by little exclusive gated communities and villas perched on the cliff tops, but the stretch of coast just past Porto Ercole on Argentario is one of the prettiest and most enchanting areas of the peninsular. The beaches are all a short if steep walk from the main road, there’s just enough parking, some lovely bars overlooking the sea, and the water and coastline vegetation is just beautiful.
