One of the prettiest views in Argentario is still the walk down through the lush vegetation to the free beach at L’Isolotto from the easy parking on the road just around the corner from Porto Ercole. It’s one of many gorgeous little beaches along that stretch of the coast. The water is lovely, and yes, it’s easy enough to swim over to the island.

The cafe overlooking the water is fabulous, and now under the management of the paid Le Viste beach club that’s beside the free beach. The prices are more expensive, but it’s worth it because the whole terrace and grass and gardens around the cafe have been redone and extended, the showers and toilets are free, and the view is priceless.
