The pine forest on the short walk from the car park to the beach at Feniglia. Parking is cheap, and it’s a lovely walk across a little bridge then a path through the beginning of the nature reserve to the beach. Past the first little bars and cafes and paid umbrellas and sunbeds is miles of free beach and solitude.
The sand is soft and golden, and the water is lovely. It’s a great place to bring kids too, because the gradient into deeper waters is further out and more gradual, and the water here is often calmer than on the long stretch of beaches south of Ansedonia when it’s a bit windy.
