Capalbio is a tiny medieval village in Tuscany on Italys western coast 140km north of Rome 5km inland from the north south E80 highway in the hills and nature reserve overlooking the sea.
The village has a number of fine restaurants, cafes, and bars, a few boutiques and artisan shops, a butcher, delicatessen, bakery, pharmacy, bank, ATM, and two small general food stores.
The nearest larger supermarkets and petrol stations are down the hill in Borgo Carige and Capalbio Scalo, and for everything else, Orbetello is a short 15 minute drive up the highway.
