The short and winding drive along the northern coast of Argentario towards Porto Santo Stefano is particularly pretty, with houses, hotels, and villas dotting the shoreline and a number of lovely little beaches nestled among the trees and vegetation with parking next to the road.

Unlike a lot of the peninsula, it’s flat here because the road is right on the water’s edge, so there’s no hiking to get to the beach! Bagni di Domiziano, La Soda, Pozzarello, and La Cantoniera are all small and sandy with clear fresh water. There are one or two cafes, but drive a few minutes into Santo Stefano, because the promenade along the port has a whole range of excellent cafes, bars, and restaurants.
