Longer, hotter, and busier than ever before for us, when we welcomed so many new guests, made many new friends, and welcomed many returning guests, new and old. Bookings have begun for next summer already, with regular guests reserving their dates early, so as one peak season ends our thoughts turn to the next.<\/p>\n<p>Our busy season began in the first days of April, and May and June were busier than ever. June was hot, and the beginning of the heatwave that ravaged Europe all summer, with the very warm weather and solid bookings continuing right through until the end of September. The idea of a &#8216;summer season&#8217; is being challenged by many people choosing to take earlier or later holidays, taking advantage of fresher evenings, cheaper prices, and avoiding the traditional August crowds.
