The terrific little cafe on the beach at Ultima Spiaggia in Chiarone, our absolutely favorite place to hang out with its old wooden floorboards, canvas roof, and friendly staff. It’s “real.” We don’t much like flashy, trendy places , and Ultima and Dogana right next to it are two of the nicest beaches on the long stretch of sandy coast, just 15 minutes from Capalbio!

The Maremma coastline is as interesting and as beautiful as you can imagine, and whether you like sand in your toes south of Ansedonia, the little coves and stunning views of Argentario, the rocks and cliffs of Talamone, or the solitude and wildness of Albarese, we’ve got it all. Choose your favorite, or pick a different beach each day and go nuts.
