If you’re worried about taking your doggos on holiday in the Maremma, don’t be. It’s incredibly dog friendly, and so are we! You’ll see them everywhere, with numerous dedicated doggie beaches along the coast, set slightly apart from other areas but only a short walk on the sand from the nearby beach cafes and amenities.

In principle you can set up towels and umbrellas anywhere, if you keep them on a leash out of respect for others, but at dog beaches, like Bau beach in Ansedonia, they are free to run around, swim, and make the beach their own. We too, with dogs of our own, are happy to welcome pets, and with our apartments opening onto large gardens with a closed gate your dogs will be free to run around.
