The fabulous view back towards Orbetello and its lagoon from the lookout point next to the Convento della Presentazione al Tempio high on Monte Telegrafo on Argentario. From here you can see the whole lagoon, the tombola of Giannella to the the north and Feneglia to the south, and Ponte della Diga bridge.

The convent is one of three on the pensinsula, and there is a lovely little cafe restaurant nearby called Ristoro la Sorgente, hidden in the trees. The road continues up to the radio towers at the summit, where you can’t see much because of the trees, but there’s a lovely panoramic viewpoint opposite that looks west out over the sea and the islands towards Sardinia!
