One of the small excellent restaurants in Capalbio, this one perched on the path that runs around the outside of the old fortress wall with a fabulous view of the coastline, Argentario, the Maremma, and Monteti, the small mountain peak behind the town.

We particularly like Trattoria da Maria on the square outside the main gate, Ristorante Tullio a hundred meters down the hill, and Il Frantoio on Piazza del Provvidenza. Capalbio also has a modest range of stylish shops and boutiques, two small general stores that sell everything you might need, delicatessens, a fresh bakery, a chemist, a cake shop, a butcher, and a few newsagents.

This is a lovely time of year; the crowds are gone, the water is warm, the evenings are fresh, and the sunsets are golden. Casa Blu is available, too!
