Capalbio is ten minutes from the long sandy beaches that stretch all the way from Argentario down to Montalto. It’s a simple drive down the hill then a left or right turn on the highway to go north towards Orbetello or south, or across the highway to the small provincial road that runs along the coast passing the various access points to the beaches.

From Feniglia and La Capannuccia on the tombola between Ansedonia and Argentario in the north, down past Bau Beach, Frigidaire, Macchiatonda, Ultima Spiaggia and La Dogana at Chiarone, Il Cassaloccia and Montalto Marina in the south, there are miles of free beach between lovely establishments with unpretentious cafes and bars, affordable umbrella and sunbed hire, free bathrooms, cheap showers, and ample free or paid parking. All on fine golden sand with clean, fresh, and safe water. Doggos are more than welcome too!
